More school places for Morpeth set to be approved

Conservative run Northumberland County Council looks set to approve the creation of 120 additional places at Chantry Middle School with £700,000 being proposed for investment in existing and new buildings at the school.

No pause for Bedlington regeneration

Despite the scare stories and misinformation put about by the discredited outgoing Labour group, proposals for the redevelopment of Bedlington Town Centre have been supported this week by the Conservative Group on Northumberland County Council.

Home Group pull out of County Hall deal

It has been confirmed by Northumberland County Council that the Home Group, who were proposing to build up to 200 homes on land at County Hall in Morpeth have withdrawn from the deal.  The news confirms rumours first reported a week or so ago.

Town Council Candidate Joins Stobhill Team

Local Tories have picked their fourth candidate for the Morpeth Stobhill ward of Morpeth Town Council for the elections on May 4th.

Nicola Bawn will be joining current Town Cllr Johnny Wearmouth and candidates Joao Parreira and Dave Herne representing the Conservatives in the contest.
